CUSP info

The CUSP program has three main goals

1.        To improve the ultimate knowledge and skills of Cincinnati youth players and allow them to step in and contribute immediately to a college and/or club team after graduation.

2.        To develop a sense of community among our best youth players in an effort to strengthen Ultimate in Cincinnati as a whole.

3.        To have fun.  Ultimate is a game after all and should be fun.

We are looking for dedicated players who will not turn 20 in 2017 regardless of current high school affiliation with good athletic and ultimate skills who have a sincere desire to improve their games and are willing to work hard to contribute to the success of our CUSP team.  We believe that hard work builds character, increases our overall skill and helps build camaraderie through shared experience.  Our summer practices will include conditioning workouts at least weekly to work on speed and overall condition.  We will also spend a significant amount of time fine tuning our individual technique and learning advanced offensive and defensive tactics.
Players that make the CUSP teams will participate in the Cincy HS Summer League on Monday evenings as well as attend practices on Thursday evening (6:30-8:30) and Saturday morning (9AM-noon).  Players will be expected to make every effort to attend as many practices as they can.

Our teams have a history of both excellent play and excellent spirit and we expect the same this year.  Those selected for the teams can look forward to a summer of Ultimate fun as well as making new friends both in Cincinnati and across the country.  With hard work and a little luck, they will also be able to call themselves champions.
